Lucy Maud Montgomery's famous novel Anne of Green Gables captured the hearts of Islanders and non-Islanders. This property is a popular area for tourists to come and view the setting of Montgomery's book.

Anne of Green Gables was an orphaned child, in the famous novel. She was adopted by brother and sister Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert. This brother and sister has originally wanted to adopt a boy for help around the farm, when Anne arrived, Marilla in particular was not pleased. Anne's lively imagination and feisty personality gets her in trouble a lot of the time but eventually wins the hearts of Matthew and Marilla. She finally has a family and beautiful home at Green Gables.

“The world calls them its singers and poets and artists and storytellers; but they are just people who have never forgotten the way to fairyland.”

L.M. Montgomery,Anne of Green Gables

This is a beautiful property located in Cavendish, tourists from all over come to see the famous Green Gables and a taste of Montgomery's image and ideas she had while writing Anne of Green Gables.

About Me

I am Moriah Burden and I am in 2nd year Public Relations at MSVU. I wasn't sure what to expect of the PR program at first but I have realized I absolutely love it and am eager to start my first co-op internship this summer. I decided to create this website as a tourism website all about Prince Edward Island, because this is where I grew up:)
